A 31-year-old man was apprehended by the public after allegedly robbing a gold shop on Jalan Bunga Raya, Melaka. Armed with a hammer, the suspect injured the 70-year-old wife of the shop owner before attempting to flee. Melaka Tengah district police chief, Assistant Commissioner Christopher Patit, confirmed the arrest and stated the suspect was pursued and caught by members of the public.
