13MP: Ship fueling supply services to reach RM19.4 bln by 2030
Malaysia's 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP) aims to strengthen the blue economy, targeting a RM19.4 billion marine fuel supply services industry by 2030. The plan includes developing a dedicated blue economy satellite account, increasing modern fishing vessels, upgrading shipyards, and enhancing port infrastructure in Port Klang, Sabah, and Sarawak. Focus areas include sustainable development, key industry growth like shipbuilding, fisheries, and tourism, and preserving biodiversity. Technological advancements will target ocean waste management and blue carbon initiatives, with increased regional cooperation in research and innovation.
