Rapid Bus KL bus lane hours extended – 4:30pm-7pm
Rapid Bus, in collaboration with Selangor JKR, is extending the Jalan Ampang bus lane operating hours to 4:30pm-7pm on weekdays starting May 19, 2025. This applies to the 0.62km stretch from Jalan Memanda 1 to Jalan Memanda 9 and Jalan Cengal to Jalan Wawasan Ampang. The extension aims to benefit passengers on routes 300, 303, and feeder bus routes, following a successful initial implementation that saw a 12.52% ridership increase and 10-15 minute travel time reductions. A three-month evaluation involving Rapid Bus, JKR, MIROS, and the Ministry of Transport will assess the impact on travel times, bus speeds, safety, and congestion. Rapid KL's on-demand van service has also expanded to six new zones.
