Pathologist: Zara’s injuries consistent with fall from height but unlikely from being pushed or accidental slip
Forensic pathologist Dr. Jessie Hiu testified that student Zara Qairina Mahathir's injuries were consistent with a fall from height, but it's unlikely she was pushed or accidentally fell while standing. The corridor railing's height, relative to Zara's, suggests she likely climbed onto the railing before falling. The post-mortem examination, conducted after Zara's body was exhumed, revealed injuries to her left foot, leg, wrist, forearm, elbow, and head, indicating she landed on her left side. The impact caused fractures in her vertebrae and other bones.
