Julaihi: Sg Sadit acute water system addresses area’s supply issue, reduces dependency on treatment plants
The new Sungai Sadit acute water system in Sibu, Sarawak, Malaysia, is now operational, addressing water supply issues in the area and benefiting residents of Sungai Sadit, Bawang Assan, and Sibu town. The RM5 million project, funded by the Sarawak state government, reduces reliance on the Bukit Lima and Salim Water Treatment Plants, allowing them to focus on supplying Sibu town. The Sungai Sadit system has a 4 million liters per day production capacity. The Salim plant is also being upgraded to double its capacity to 300MLD, ensuring Sibu has sufficient water reserves.
