Now, everyone can get 5pc discount on Penang’s overhang properties, says chief minister

The Penang government is offering a 5% discount on completed but unsold homes to address the 2,729 overhang units worth RM2.04 billion. This year-long Madani Ownership Campaign discount applies to properties from Penang Housing Board-registered developers. The majority of unsold units are apartments/condominiums. The discount is available across all price ranges, from below RM300,000 to above RM1 million, following public criticism of its initial application only to Indian Muslims.
