Sarawak must embrace smart farming to attract youth, says Dr Rundi

Sarawak's food and agriculture sector needs to modernize by adopting smart technology and mechanization to boost productivity, create value-added products, and attract youth. Traditional farming methods are unsustainable, and new approaches are needed to engage younger generations. Minister Dato Sri Dr Stephen Rundi Utom emphasized the importance of research, development, and technology integration, urging farmers to adapt and learn. He highlighted the need to improve processing methods for higher market value and addressed the need for growth in the cattle and goat farming sectors.
