Kaedah ban tanah tak sesuai, 500 rumah bakal terjejas

Approximately 500 houses along Sungai Simpang Kiri, from Sri Medan to Parit Sulong town, are at risk of relocation if the proposed flood mitigation project utilizes an earthen embankment. Hairul Fauzi Mokli, chairman of the Parit Sulong Flood Mitigation Project Committee, stated that about 140 houses are situated only six meters away from the river, while nearly 400 others are also within the affected zone. The committee believes the embankment method is unsuitable and is exploring alternative solutions.
