Two houses and a quail coop in Kampung Genting, Balik Pulau, Penang were destroyed by fire last night. The Penang Fire and Rescue Department responded to the incident around 9:56 pm. The fire also destroyed a nearby lorry. Approximately 2,000 quails were housed in the coop, but the number of survivors is unknown. No casualties were reported. The fire was extinguished by 12:34 am. The cause and total losses are under investigation.
