Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi announced guaranteed placements at Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) and Universiti Poly-Tech Malaysia (UPTM) for Bumiputera students achieving 10As or more in the SPM exam. Full scholarships will also be offered to these high-achieving students. Students with 5As to 10As will also be considered for university admission. Zahid Hamidi encouraged students with lower academic results to pursue TVET education, noting a significant increase in applications. He also plans to request over RM4 billion for MARA's budget next year to support educational programs.
