A 42-year-old man vandalized a 200-year-old Nguyen dynasty throne in Hue, Vietnam. The throne, a key artifact from Vietnam's last feudal dynasty (1802-1945), was damaged when the man broke its left armrest. He was apprehended exhibiting signs of psychosis and is undergoing psychiatric evaluation. The Hue Monuments Conservation Centre called the incident "extremely rare" and will repair the throne. Vietnam's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has requested a report on the incident.
