A former Maritime Director of Tanjung Sedili Zone was sentenced to 20 months in prison for accepting a RM10,000 bribe five years ago. The Sessions Court judge found the prosecution had proven a prima facie case against Mohd. Zulfadli Nayan, 44. The defense argued for a fine, citing the defendant's four children and current employment as an e-hailing driver and electrician. The bribe was allegedly received in exchange for not taking action against a shipping company under investigation.
