Independent candidate for the Batu parliamentary seat in the 15th General Election (GE15), Cleopatra (real name Nur Fathiah Syazwana Shaharuddin), has applied to join the Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS). She submitted her membership application at the PAS women's wing office, witnessed by the head of the women's wing, Nuridah Mohd. Salleh. Nuridah stated that Cleopatra's decision was made for the future.
