Sabah Umno clarified that Barisan Nasional (BN) is not entirely against cooperating with other parties, but is proceeding cautiously due to past experiences. Responding to Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) secretary-general's statement, Sabah Umno information chief Datuk Suhaimi Nasir emphasized that any coalition must prioritize the people's interests and state stability. He highlighted the negative consequences of past collaborations, particularly during the 16th state election, impacting integrity and trust. Suhaimi stressed the need for objective assessment of potential alliances and avoiding past mistakes that sidelined grassroots voices. He stated that Sabah's future hinges not on the number of parties in a coalition, but on forming a government that genuinely serves the people.
