A 26-year-old man in Kuching was fined RM2,000 or four months' jail for promoting a criminal gang in a TikTok video. He pleaded guilty to the charge under Section 47 of the Societies Act 1966. Police identified him after investigating a video posted under the username @brianniebah. He admitted to being a former member of the gang, though inactive. The offense occurred at a Batu Kawa food court on March 3.
