The Road Transport Department (JPJ) is finalizing investigation papers against the bus operator involved in the fatal accident that killed 15 students from Sultan Idris Education University (UPSI) on June 9th. JPJ Director-General Datuk Aedy Fadly Ramli stated that two investigations are underway, one against the operator and another against the company that leased the bus. The papers are expected to be submitted to the public prosecutor soon. The investigation follows Transport Minister Anthony Loke's statement that the company failed to operate according to regulations. Aedy Fadly also addressed claims that the operator suffered a heart attack, stating JPJ had no such information and will proceed with action regardless.
