Apple faces a class-action lawsuit for allowing the cryptocurrency scam app, Swiftcrypt, on its App Store. The app, part of a "pig butchering" scam, lured victims into making increasingly large deposits before locking them out. Plaintiff Danyell Shin lost over US$80,000 after downloading the app, believing it trustworthy due to its presence on the App Store. Shin argues Apple's claims of rigorous app review and platform safety are "false and misleading."
