Sibu police are searching for a 25-year-old rape suspect who escaped from the Sibu Central Police Station lockup. The suspect, still wearing purple lockup attire and handcuffs, escaped around 4 p.m. District police chief ACP Zulkipli Suhaili said an operation has been launched to locate and recapture him. The case is being investigated under Sections 223 and 224 of the Penal Code. The public is urged to contact the Sibu District Police Headquarters with any information.
