Sarawak aims to vaccinate 50,000 dogs annually to achieve a rabies-free state by 2030. Tamin assemblyman Christopher Gira Sambang highlighted the 'One Health' approach, encompassing vaccination, population control, licensing, education, and law enforcement. Since 2017, Sarawak has recorded 82 human rabies cases with 75 fatalities, alongside over 52,000 dog bites and 43,000 cat bites.
