Datuk Aidel Lariwoo, Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Port Development, has expressed concern over the rising drug abuse among rural youth in Sarawak. He highlighted the increasing boldness of drug dealers infiltrating villages and called for urgent collaborative action from community leaders, JKKK, police, the National Anti-Drugs Agency, and residents. He supported mandatory drug testing in schools and ongoing surveillance efforts while urging community networks to identify at-risk individuals and report suspicious activities. He also advocated for more educational and awareness programmes in villages.
