From 2024 to May 2024, 204 Umrah fraud complaints, amounting to RM3.6 million in losses, were reported in Malaysia. Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) Zulkifli Hasan revealed this information, highlighting the significant financial impact of these scams on pilgrims.
