The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Sarawak remanded two businessmen for six days for allegedly soliciting and receiving over RM800,000 in bribes. The suspects, in their 50s, were arrested after giving statements at the MACC office. They allegedly accepted bribes to facilitate a non-existent commercial land application in Kuching between 2020 and 2021. The case is being investigated under Section 16(a)(A) of the MACC Act 2009.
