Sarawak Premier Abang Johari Tun Openg officially launched the Sungai Bintangor Bridge in Kuching. He praised the bridge as an engineering marvel and potential tourist attraction, comparing it to iconic European bridges. Deputy Minister Datuk Ibrahim Baki proposed renaming the bridge after the Premier's late wife, Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tuanku Bujang. The cable-stayed bridge, with its intricate carvings and four-lane dual carriageway, is expected to improve Kuching's road network and become a new landmark.
