No Malaysians have been reported affected by the severe flooding in Laos caused by heavy monsoon rains and Typhoon Wipha. The Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through its embassy in Vientiane, is closely monitoring the situation, which has impacted over 58,000 people across 10 provinces. Nine deaths and four missing persons have been reported. Malaysians in or traveling to Laos are advised to exercise caution and follow local authorities' instructions. They are also encouraged to register with the Malaysian Embassy for updates and consular assistance.
