Sarawak Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas requested more Bailey bridges from Nadma for disaster preparedness. Three have been received so far, two deployed in Baram and one in Miri. Over 200 bridges and roads statewide need repair or replacement, with 29 projects planned under JKR and MIPD. Many dilapidated bridges, formerly built by logging companies, will be converted to state roads for maintenance using Marris funds.
