Bintulu, Malaysia is experiencing a surge in dengue fever cases, with 61 reported as of August 5th. Kampung Baru accounts for the majority of cases (52), followed by Kampung Sinong (7) and Pasar Lama Bintulu (2). Health officials are urging public cooperation in eliminating mosquito breeding grounds by disposing of stagnant water containers, cleaning open water receptacles weekly, clearing overgrown vegetation, and using mosquito repellent. Community clean-up campaigns and cooperation with fogging operations are also encouraged.
