A small number of first-generation Sonos Roam speakers are overheating, primarily around the USB-C port, sometimes melting connected cables. The issue was highlighted by Reddit users posting images of damaged speakers. Sonos is investigating and claims the incidence rate is low, attributing it partly to environmental conditions. They've implemented software updates and accessory improvements to mitigate the problem. The issue doesn't appear to affect the second-generation Roam 2.
