Malaysia's Multi-Lane Fast Flow (MLFF) toll system will be implemented using a business-to-business (B2B) model, incurring no government expenditure. Private companies will negotiate directly with highway concessionaires, with a two-year deadline for finalizing agreements. The projected RM3.46 billion cost is now void. Current efforts focus on upgrading RFID lanes and implementing open payment systems using debit and credit cards. A proof-of-concept trial using RFID and ANPR technology is underway at the Alam Impian toll plaza.
