Thailand and Cambodia have reached a preliminary agreement on key ceasefire implementation issues along their shared border after three days of secretariat-level discussions in Malaysia. The agreement includes terms of reference for ASEAN observer teams monitoring the ceasefire. Finalization is expected during the Extraordinary General Border Committee meeting. Malaysia facilitated the talks, following a ceasefire agreement brokered by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim after recent border clashes.
