Malaysia Rail Link (MRL) has signed a supplementary agreement with the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) contractor to extend the rail line to Westports and Northport in Port Klang. This agreement, known as SA7, connects the final station at Jalan Kastam to the two major ports, enhancing connectivity and facilitating cargo transport. This extension is part of Section D of the ECRL project.
