The Federation of Motor and Credit Companies Association of Malaysia (FMCCAM) urges the automotive industry to prepare for the transition to electric vehicles (EVs) and digitalization. While acknowledging that fuel vehicles will remain prevalent in Malaysia for the next 30 years, FMCCAM President Dato Tony Khor emphasized the need to develop technical expertise and market readiness. He also highlighted challenges faced by used car dealers, including competition from large online platforms and government-linked companies, urging the Transport Ministry to regulate these platforms and protect dealers' interests.
