Nizam suggested Suhaimi's reaction proves his influence and that the truth is unsettling. He dismissed Suhaimi's criticisms as politically motivated, highlighting his own consistent public service compared to Suhaimi's re-emergence after two decades. Nizam also challenged Suhaimi's outdated political views and criticized him for indirectly attacking the current Sabah cabinet's efforts to rectify past mistakes, including those of Umno, and demanded accountability for RM7.5 billion in federal funds.
