The Malaysian Quarantine and Inspection Services Department (MAQIS) in Penang seized a shipment of frozen fish from China at the North Butterworth Container Terminal (NBCT) containing pig and chicken DNA. The discovery was made during routine inspection. This action prevented the illegal entry of non-halal products into the country.
