A 39-year-old man escaped unharmed after his Toyota Vios was attacked by a herd of wild elephants on the Jeli-Gerik East-West Highway. The incident occurred around 8:15 pm when the man, driving from Jeli to Gerik, stopped his car and turned off the lights upon seeing the elephants crossing the road. A honking vehicle from behind startled three elephants, prompting them to approach the man's car. He panicked and fled, leaving his vehicle severely damaged. He reported the incident to the Gerik police station after the elephants left.
