An 18-year-old in Kampung Chembong Kecil, Rembau, witnessed a black panther attacking a dog, the fourth such incident in recent months. Muhammad Hakim Hakimi was startled by noises behind his house and saw the panther mauling the dog. His uncle, Kamarudin Ibrahim, reported that the teen screamed, scaring the panther back into the nearby Gunung Datuk Forest Reserve. The Negeri Sembilan Perhilitan director confirmed the incident, attributing it to the panther searching for food, and has set a trap.
