Malaysian badminton pairs Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik and Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah advanced to the second round of the Malaysia Masters after defeating their respective opponents. World No. 3 men's doubles pair Aaron-Wooi Yik overcame Taiwan's Chiu Hsiang Chieh-Wang Chi Lin 21-18, 21-16, while the women's doubles pair, Pearly-Thinaah, also secured their victory at the Axiata Arena in Bukit Jalil.
