Tangguh semua aktiviti luar sekolah di Selama – Sivanesan
School principals and headmasters in Selama and Taiping, Perak, Malaysia, are advised to temporarily postpone all outdoor physical activities due to an unusual heatwave with temperatures reaching 35-37 degrees Celsius. This advisory, while not mandatory, is recommended until temperatures return to normal, expected after September. Perak's Health, Human Resources, National Integration and Indian Community Affairs chairman, A. Sivanesan, suggests limiting outdoor activities to one or two hours in the morning and postponing sports. He also advises everyone to drink plenty of water, especially students and outdoor workers. Public hospitals and clinics are prepared for heatstroke cases since March.
