Sarawak strengthens halal ecosystem with technical, audit training
Fifteen participants from Sarawak and the Philippines completed a seven-day halal training program. The program, jointly organized by Sarawak Skills, UiTM Sarawak, and Tesda, aimed to enhance halal industry expertise. Supported by various ministries and Sara-Bif, the training aligned with Jakim standards and included lectures, site visits, and audit simulations. UiTM Sarawak Rector, Prof Dr Firdaus Abdullah, highlighted the program's significance in strengthening the halal ecosystem, noting UiTM Sarawak's status as the sole Jakim-recognized halal training provider in the state.
