Five family members died in a car crash near Jerantut, Pahang, around midnight. Their Perodua Bezza collided with a Toyota Alphard on Jalan Jerantut Feri. Three men and two women, aged 17 to 26, in the Bezza were killed at the scene. Two were trapped inside, while three were ejected. The Alphard's occupants, two men and a woman, were injured. The Alphard was travelling from Pulau Tawar to Jerantut, while the Bezza was from Bota, Perak, to Jerantut. Firefighters extricated the trapped victims. The injured were taken to a hospital.
