The Johor Consumers' Association has proposed the establishment of a special body comprising NGOs to monitor subsidized goods nationwide. Its chairman, Abdul Rahman Kunju Mohamed, suggested the monitoring team should consist of consumer NGO committee members from across the country, ensuring neutrality and avoiding political influence. He believes this would be more effective than the current Price Monitoring Bureau.
