A police corporal was killed after being hit and run over by a Lexus SUV driven by a group of criminals in Taman Golf, Alor Setar. The 35-year-old victim, Mohd Hafizul Izham Mazlan, died at the scene from head and body injuries. He was part of a five-person team investigating suspicious activity at a house. The suspects were attempting to load a stolen safe into the SUV when the officers arrived. One suspect was apprehended at the scene, while three others fled, abandoning the Lexus and carjacking a Toyota with an elderly woman inside. All three were later arrested after crashing the Toyota.
