A fisherman died and his friend was injured after their boats collided near the mouth of Sungai Paka, Dungun. The deceased, Mohd. Rasid Jusoh, 58, was thrown into the sea after being hit by a fiberglass boat driven by his friend, Ismail, around 6 a.m. The boats collided when Ismail turned back to retrieve a forgotten item in the dark. Rosli Md. Lazim, another friend, rescued Mohd. Rasid, but he was later pronounced dead at Paka Health Clinic. Police confirmed the incident and the body was sent to Hospital Sultanah Nur Zahirah for further action.
